Installing client software packages

Learn how to install the Netezza Performance Server CLI clients tool.

In most cases, the only applications that Netezza Performance Server administrators or users must install are the client applications to access the system. Netezza Performance Server provides client software that runs on various systems such as Windows, Linux®, Solaris, AIX®, and HP-UX systems.

This section does not describe how to install the Netezza Performance Server system software or how to upgrade the Netezza Performance Server host software.

Typically, IBM Support works with you for any situations that might require software reinstallations, and the steps to upgrade a Netezza Performance Server system are described in Upgrading Netezza Performance Server to 11.1.X.X.
