Updating database user credentials

Deployment options: Netezza Performance Server for Cloud Pak for Data System

At any time, you can update the Netezza Performance Server database user credentials that are used to connect to an instance. You might do this if you created a new user account or changed your password. Learn how to update credentials if you are on Cloud Pak for Data System pre-1.0.7.8.

Procedure

  1. Open the web console URL.
    For more information, see Getting the Netezza Performance Server for Cloud Pak for Data System web console URL.
  2. Select the instance for which you want to update credentials.
  3. From the overflow menu, select Update DB user credential.
    Important: Do this only if there is a green checkmark that indicates that the connection to the instance is fine.

    If the instance icon is red, click Update to fix the invalid credentials.

  4. Enter the user credentials for the database user account.
    The credentials include a username and password.
  5. Click Save to update the credentials.
    If the credentials are valid, they are updated and the user is able to access the instance with the new credentials.
