Visualizing event data in Dashboard Application Services Hub
You can create dashboards in Dashboard Application Services Hub and add the widgets for displaying the event data. The event feed for Web GUI widgets is provided by the data source or data sources. Widgets from the Tivoli Widgets Library (TWL) obtain event data from the Web GUI data provider.
For more information about the individual TWL widgets that are in Dashboard Application Services Hub, search for Tivoli Widgets Library on the Jazz® for Service Management information center at https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/jfsm/1.1.3.0
Tip: To specify the data set
that feeds a widget, in the widget window click . On the Select a Dataset page,
click Show All for a list of possible data
sets. Web GUI data
sets from the Web GUI data
provider are entitled Provider: Netcool/OMNIbus Web GUI.
Procedure
- To feed event data to a TWL widget, edit the widget and
select a data set from the Web GUI.
For information about the datasources, data sets, and parameters of the Web GUI data provider, see the data provider description on the user interface. For example, you can define metrics in the Web GUI Metrics GUI and then use these to feed a TWL status gauge or value status gauge. When you select the metrics data set from the Web GUI data provider, all the defined metrics are available for selection.
- You can perform launch-in-context integrations from TWL hotspot and web widgets by specifying a URL that launches a Web GUI widget in the Target URL field.
- You can create connections, or wires, between widgets so that a target widget will update in context of the source widget.
