If you are authenticated against any external source other
than an ObjectServer, you must always request a password change from
the system administrator of the external source.
About this task
The password for the ObjectServer server user cannot start
with any of the following characters: hyphen (-), forward slash (/),
or double quotation mark (").
To change your password on the
ObjectServer:
Procedure
- Perform the appropriate action for your operating system:

From the Conductor window on UNIX, click . Note: On UNIX, the Change Password menu option is not available
if your organization uses external authorization. This is because
externally-authenticated passwords are not stored in the ObjectServer.

Windows |
From the Conductor menu on Windows, click Password. |
The Change Password window opens.
- Complete this window as follows:
- Current Password
- Type your current password. Any text entered is replaced with asterisk (*) characters.
- New Password
- Type the new password.
- Verify Password
- Retype the new password.
- OK
- Click this button to save the new password.
Note: If you type an invalid current
password, or if the entries in the New Password and Verify
Password fields do not match, an error message is displayed. In both cases, you can
close the error message window and correct the error.
- Cancel
- Click this button to cancel any password changes and retain your old password.
