Creating a page with an Event Dashboard and an event list

To obtain a high-level overview of events and be able to jump to an in-depth view of specific events, create a page that contains the Event Dashboard widget and the event list, and customize the Event Dashboard to refresh the event list when you click a monitor box.

Before you begin

To create pages in Dashboard Application Services Hub, your user requires the iscadmins role.

1. From the navigation, click Console Settings > Pages.
2. On the Page Management page, click New Page.
3. Provide a descriptive name for the page and choose its location in the navigation tree. Then Click OK.
4. Select the page layout required.
5. To specify user access to the page:
   1. Click Optional Settings.
   2. Click Add to add roles with access to this page.
6. Click OK.
7. Open Netcool/OMNIbus Widgets and select Event Dashboard.
8. Drag it to your page, position, and resize as necessary.
9. Select your choice of event viewer, drag it to your page, position, and resize as necessary.
10. To customize the Event Dashboard to refresh the event list:
    1. On the Event Dashboard widget, click Edit.
    2. Select Actions > Single-Click Action > Update Event List(using wires) > .
    3. Click Save.
11. Click Save and Exit to save the new page.

In the Event Dashboard, click one of the monitor boxes to test the interaction between the Event Dashboard widget and the event list.
