Message Bus 2

The IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus Message Bus 2 gateway reads Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus events from an ObjectServer and transforms them from their native format to JSON. The transport module then forwards these events to a target application.

Note: The Message Bus 2 gateway is dependent on the Java Gateway Framework (nco-g-java) and Java Netcool Utility Library (common-jnetcool).
  1. You specify which one of the following transport modules to use:
    • Java Message Service (JMS)
    • Kafka

You can configure the gateway as follows:

  • Create a server (using the Server Editor nco_xigen) named G_MSG_BUS.
  • Locate the gateway Name property in the supplied default properties file, G_MESSAGE_BUS.props.
  • Specify the value G_MSG_BUS for the Name property (which matches the name of the server name created with nco_xigen).
