Notes
- The stated values are default at installation. However, these values can also be modified during the installation phase.
- IDT can be optionally configured for connections to devices that will skip worker servers. Connections will be made directly from presentation server.
- IDT can be configured to run inside the worker JVM or its own JVM (recommended). The standalone version runs on a different port (8105) compared to the version that runs inside of the worker JVM (8104).
- Some devices management consoles will be running on non-standard ports and will need to have custom RADs defined as well as firewall rules (for example, Cisco 15454's management console runs on 3083).
- Secure connections are optional in these architectures.
- Only needed if external authentication processes are used for user login to Netcool Configuration Manager - Base.
- While not required, installing drivers on the presentation server and distributing via SCP/RSYNC is very convenient.
