NSM command-line logging

You can configure logging for the NSM CLI tool in the /opt/IBM/tivoli/netcool/ncm/bin/nsm/commons-logging.properties file. This configuration file controls the output to the log file and the console. You can also set the logging level and other logging options.

The NSM CLI tool log file is called /opt/IBM/tivoli/netcool/ncm/bin/nsm/nsmadmin.log. When you run CLI commands, all the output that is written to the console is also written to this log file. The detail of the information that is written to the log file depends on the logging level that you can set in the /opt/IBM/tivoli/netcool/ncm/bin/nsm/commons-logging.properties file.

Note: The log file name may have a suffix of .* (dot star), where * (star) represents a number. This can occur if the configuration is set to produce multiple log files. The file with the highest numeric suffix contains the most recent log information.
