Running reports from Tivoli Common Reporting

You can run reports from the Tivoli Common Reporting GUI if your system is configured to support this feature. Run Netcool Configuration Manager reports from the Tivoli Common Reporting GUI if you want to use the standard reporting features that are not available from the Network Manager topology visualization GUI or the Active Event List.

About this task

To run reports from the Tivoli Common Reporting GUI:

Procedure

  1. Log on to the DASH console if not already logged on.
  2. From the navigation pane, click Reporting > Common Reporting > ITNCM Reporting.
  3. From the Navigation tab of the Tivoli Common Reporting pane, expand the report navigation tree by clicking Tivoli Reports > ITNCM Reports.
  4. Click a report name in the navigation tree, and then from the Reports pane, perform one of the following actions:
    • To view the report in the default HTML format in a new browser window or tab, click the Reports icon Reports that is adjacent to the report title.
    • To choose whether to view the report in HTML, PDF, Microsoft Excel, or Adobe Postscript, right-click the report title, click View As in the pop-up menu, and choose your required display format.
  5. Complete the On-Demand Report Parameters window as follows:
    1. Specify the report parameters that you want to use. An entity name is always required in the EntityName field; for example, an IP address. Some of the reports also require a reporting period (or date range) to be set.
    2. Click Run to generate the report.

    The report is formatted using the specified parameters and is displayed in your chosen report viewer.
