SAP SLD server sensor
The SAP SLD server sensor discovers SAP systems, SAP servers (ABAP and Java™), and SAP components.
Sensor name that is used in the GUI and logs
SLDServerSensor
Prerequisites
The SAP System Landscape Directory (SLD) server must be running.
Depending on the specific
application of SAP NetWeaver systems, you can use the SAP CCMS server
sensor, the SAP SLD server sensor, or both to discover this system.
SAP applications are installed on two different database schemas depending
on the application, and each are accessed by their respective runtime
environments. There is a runtime environment for Java instances (Java stack)
and one for the Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) instances
(ABAP stack):
- Use the SAP CCMS server sensor to discover information where the SAP NetWeaver system has applications based only on the ABAP stack.
- Use the SAP SLD server sensor to discover information where the SAP NetWeaver system has applications based only on the Java stack.
- Use the SAP CCMS server sensor, the SAP SLD server, or both sensors to discover information where the SAP NetWeaver system has applications based on both the ABAP and Java stacks.
Note: If you want to change the SLD port, other than the default listed port, then
you can set the new portlist in sensor configuration panel. SLD connection will be established with
the new listed ports.
