Security issues

The discovery user must have read permissions (defined in the Citrix Product console) for the Citrix configuration. To discover the Citrix Presentation Server configuration, you must have permission to query the Citrix WMI Provider. This provider must be running in order to be discovered.

The Citrix WMI Provider is on your discovered system where the Citrix Presentation Server is installed. It is a part of the Citrix product.

To grant this permission, complete the following steps:
  1. Log in to the Management Console for Metaframe Presentation Server.
  2. From the menu, select Actions > Permissions.
  3. Edit the user and group permissions.
  4. Ensure that the View farm management permission is granted. This permission is the minimal permission that must be granted to query the Citrix WMI provider.
    1. Select a user or group.
    2. Click Edit
    3. Select the appropriate permission:
      • View only: works for the Citrix sensor
      • Full administration: works for the Citrix sensor
      • Custom: the administrator can define their own access level
