Configuring the access list

This topic describes the access details that you require, depending on your configuration.

To configure the access list, complete the following steps:

  1. Select Messaging servers as the Component Type.
  2. Select Microsoft Exchange Server for the Vendor.
  3. Specify the following required information:
    1. User name
    2. Password

The sensor uses credentials from the access list in the following sequence:

  1. The sensor attempts to connect to the Microsoft Exchange Server, using Microsoft Exchange Server user credentials from the access list.
  2. If step 1 fails, the sensor attempts to connect to Microsoft Exchange Server using the Computer System (Windows) user credentials from the access list.
