Troubleshooting the sensor

This topic describes common problems that occur with the IBM® WebSphere® MQ Server sensor and presents solutions for those problems.

Sensor does not start

Problem

The WebSphere MQ Server sensor does not start.

Solution

Ensure that the amqzxma0 process name is added to the com.collation.platform.os.UnixOs.forcedServerList property in the collation.properties file.

Sensor starts, but it does not discover all of the information through IBM Tivoli Monitoring discovery

Problem

Discovery of the WebSphere MQ Server sensor through IBM Tivoli Monitoring ends successfully, but not all of the information is discovered.

Solution

Make sure that on target host, the user, under which the IBM Tivoli Monitoring agent is running, is added to the mqm group.
