Troubleshooting the sensor

This topic describes common problems that occur with the Solaris zones generic sensor and presents solutions for those problems.

Solaris zones generic sensor is not started because of an incorrect IP address of a zone

Problem: Solaris zones generic sensor is not started. In the error log files, you can find the information that a zone has an incorrect IP address. The logs indicate that the IP address is generated by the host zoneName command.

Solution: Go to the collation.properties file, and set the com.collation.hostnameforzoneip property to false.
