Creating subzones

Use this procedure to create a new subzone.

1. Choose Data > Price Subzones.
   The Price Subzone page shows subzone information for selected category and division.
2. Click Create Subzone.
   The Create Subzone page opens.
3. Enter a Name and Description for the subzone.
4. Select a Division and Product Category.
5. Select a Product Group and Store Group.
   These selections define the SKU/store combinations that belong to the new subzone. Subzones are managed dynamically. If you modify a product or store group used in a subzone, DemandTec by Acoustic will use the new product and store group members in subsequent pricing actions.

   You cannot create multiple subzones with the same product and store groups. Once a store group or product group is selected for a subzone, it can no longer be deleted.

6. Click Save to save the subzone and return to the Price Subzone page.

   You can also click View Subzone Detail to open the Price Subzone Detail page. This page shows the SKU/store combinations selected for the subzone. Click Done to return to the Price Subzone page.

7. Use the Order column to create a hierarchy of subzones.
   When a SKU/store combination belongs to more than one subzone, DemandTec by Acoustic will only use the subzone with the lowest Order value. If DemandTec by Acoustic identifies a SKU/store belonging to more than one subzone during a pricing action, the Scenario Warnings and Errors tab will report the conflict.
