Editing dynamic product groups

Use this procedure to edit a dynamic product group. You must have the Edit All Categories Product Group permission to edit product groups created for all categories by other users.

Procedure

  1. Open the Product Groups page (Data > Product Groups).
    If you only want to change the description of the product group, you can click in the Description column to edit the description.
  2. Right-click on a dynamic product group in the list, and choose Edit. The Edit Product Group page opens.
  3. You can change the group name, the product criteria to search, and related by attributes.
    You can also select Maintain static product group to change the dynamic product group to static, and then manually select the new product group members. If the product group was created for all categories (shown in the Category drop-down list), it cannot be changed to a static product group.
  4. You can click Edit Criteria to edit criteria groups in the Advanced Criteria dialog box. Click the Delete checkbox next to each set of criteria to remove it from a group, or click the edit symbol next to a set of criteria to edit the criteria. If you edit a set, the attribute, operator, and value will re-appear in the drop-down lists and text box at the top of the dialog box, which you can change.

    Select Business Metrics to apply the Cumulative Revenue %, Cumulative Volume, Individual Revenue %, Price, or Individual Volume % attributes to the Product Group - Advanced Criteria dialog box.

    After making the changes, click Update. The edited set of criteria will be updated with the changes. Click OK to save the changes and return to the Edit Product Group page.

  5. Click View Product Group Detail to preview the selected products.
    The View Product Group Detail page is read-only, and is for viewing purposes only. A summary of the product group attributes and selection criteria display at the top of the page. The driver products in dynamic product groups will be indicated by an isDriver checkbox.

    You can also right-click a dynamic group on the Product Groups page and select View Details to open the View Product Group Detail page.

    Note: This page will be read-only if the Product Group is a Static (Imported) Product Group.
  6. Click Save in the Edit Product Group page when you have finished editing.
    Your changes are saved, and you return to the Product Groups page.
