Learn more about what's new and changed in Maximo Spatial 9.0.
Storing base maps requests on mobile devices
In previous versions of Maximo Spatial, by default, base map requests were stored in the navigation cache of a mobile device. Previously navigated areas could be loaded when the device was in offline mode. In Maximo Spatial 9.0, to improve performance, base map requests are not cached by default.
For more information, see Enabling the navigation cache on mobile devices.

Map providers
Maximo Spatial 9.0 has deprecated support for Bing Maps and Google Maps as map providers. IBM's strong partnership with Esri ensures a highly responsive engagement on support issues when using ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Online maps. Additionally, OpenStreetMaps remain supported as well.
Layers
The user experience has been enhanced by including an option to select and unselected all layers. In previous releases, layers must be selected individually.
