Enabling the navigation cache on mobile devices

You can enable the navigation cache on a mobile device to cache base map requests. When the navigation cache is enabled, previously navigated areas can be loaded when the device is in offline mode.

About this task

Create and set a property in Maximo® Manage to enable the navigation cache.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Maximo Manage and open the System Properties application.
  2. Click New Row.
  3. Name the new property pluss.navigation.cache.enabled.
  4. Set the Data Type to YON.
  5. Set the Global Value to 1.
  6. Save the property.
  7. Select pluss.navigation.cache.enabled from the property list.
  8. From the Common Actions menu, click Live Refresh and then click OK.
    The Global Value setting is used to set the Current Value.
