Enabling user sentiment analytics
You must enable the user sentiment function to collect the ratings that users give your app.
Procedure
- Select Settings > App settings in the main navigation.
- Select the check box for Activate User Sentiment Integration in the User Sentiment integration section.
- From the list of available countries, select a country
to indicate the location of the app store to enable user sentiment
for.
Tip: The list of available countries depends on the platform that you selected for your app. You can select from the following countries for iOS applications: Canada (CA), Australia (AU), United States (US), Great Britain (GB), France (FR), Germany (DE), Spain (ES), Brazil (BR), Argentina (AR), Mexico (MX), India (IN), and Italy (IT). For Android applications, the Google Play store lists the following available countries: United States (US), Great Britain (GB), France (FR), Germany (DE), Spain (ES), Brazil (BR), India (HI), and Italy (IT). For more information about the mapping between country codes and the Google Play store and the Apple App store, see Country support in app stores. The ability to select different countries provides the following benefits:- You can gain insight into how users in different parts of the world respond to the same app.
- You can understand local user perceptions of a brand and cultural preferences while you try to drive the adoption of your app in another country.
- You can monitor whether investments in globalization testing are successful across the different international markets that your app is in.
- In the Search field, enter the name
of an app that is available in an online app store. Tip: To search for an Android app from the Canadian market with more than French Canadian reviews in your user sentiment analysis, search for the app in the United States app store. To search for an Android app from the Australian market, search for the app in the Great Britain app store first. If you do not find the information that you need, try searching for the app in the United States app store. Google Play does not provide a separate local code for Australian apps.If the app name does not exist, a message is displayed to indicate that you must try a different app name. Otherwise, a list of apps that match your search string is returned.
- From the list of apps, select the app to enable user sentiment
for, and then click Save settings at the bottom
of the page. Tip: After user sentiment is enabled for an app, you can change the user sentiment configuration for that app by using the Settings page.
