Information about the rack and tools that you need to prepare for installation.
Rack requirements
Observe the rack requirements when you plan for installation. The appliance can fit in a standard
19 in (48.26 cm) rack with a minimum of 28 in. (71.1 cm) of depth. When you plan for installation,
observe the following requirements for the rack:
- The appliance rails require mounting points in the rack.
- There must be at least 30 in. (76.20 cm) of free space behind the rack frame to remove replaceable parts.
- The ambient temperature in the operating environment and within the rack should not exceed 95° F (35° C).
Tools needed
You need the following tools and hardware to install the appliance rack-mounting kit.
- A medium Phillips screwdriver
- Two standard rack screws
You need at least two and up to as many network cables as there are network ports to connect the appliance to your network.
