Appliance commands
Some of the appliance commands are available at initial log in, before you enter a configuration mode. The other appliance commands are available in most configuration modes.
The following commands are available at initial log in:
Command | Description |

clear intrusion-detected | Clears the detected intrusion when the appliance is in Fail-Safe mode. |
clock | Sets the date or time. |
configure terminal | Enters configuration mode. |
diagnostics | Enters Diagnostics mode. Use this command only at the explicit direction of IBM Support. |
disconnect | Closes the session for an active user. |
echo | Echoes text to the console. |
exec | Calls and runs a configuration script. |
exit | Applies configuration changes to the running configuration and returns to the parent mode. |
help | Displays online help. |
login | Logs a specific account on to the appliance. |
ntp | Identifies an NTP server. |
ping | Determines whether the network can reach a remote target. |
show | Displays configuration or status information |
shutdown | Restarts or shuts down the appliance. |
test tcp-connection | Tests the TCP connection to a remote target. |
The following commands are available in most configuration modes:

cancel | Exits this configuration mode without saving changes to the running configuration. |

ping | Determines whether the network can reach a remote target. |
reset | Restores the default values to the configuration. |
show | Displays configuration or status information |

traceroute | Traces the network path to a target host. |
