Using the IBM MQ Console

Use the IBM® MQ Console to perform common IBM MQ administration tasks.

For the full range of IBM MQ tasks, use the command line interface.

To start the IBM MQ Console:
  1. Connect to the IBM MQ Appliance web UI by entering the following URL:

    https://IP_Address:9090

    Where IP_Address specifies the IP address of the management Ethernet interface (you can determine the IP address of the management Ethernet interface by using the show int command).

    Note: This URL uses the default port value. If you changed the port value, replace the 9090 section of the URL with your port number.
  2. Click the home icon shows the home icon to view an introduction to IBM MQ, or click the manage icon shows the manage icon to start working with IBM MQ.

IBM MQ Console Settings

You can specify some general settings for the IBM MQ Console.

Click the settings icon shows the settings icon to switch to the IBM MQ Console settings view.

Use the settings to control the following features:
  • Automatic refresh of queue managers every ten seconds. This feature can be turned on or off.
  • Whether system objects are displayed. You can specify this for all object types, or select object types individually.
  • Whether trace information is collected or not.
