After you create form groups, you add the forms to the form groups. Job Queue forms
force the requesters to follow your business processes. Design a form that asks for specific
information that fits your processes.
About this task
For project forms, you can map the information to project fields. For example, a Job
Queue form for an email-marketing campaign request might contain the following
fields:
- Requester name
- Requester email address
- Division sending the marketing email
- Send date
- Campaign goals
- From name
- Field to upload email copy and graphics
- Reply To email address
As another example, you can design a form to create an event for a trade show that
asks for the following information:
- Trade show venue
- Trade show start date
- Trade show end date
- Trade show manager
To design a Job Queue form, complete the following steps.
Procedure
- From the System Administration page, click Job
Queue Forms.
- In the appropriate form group section, click New
Form.
The Forms Editor displays.
- Define the form by completing the fields on the Form
Options tab.
- Add fields to the form by using the items on the Add Field
tab. Do one of the following steps to add a field:
- Select the field type to insert it at the bottom of the form.
- Drag the field type to where you want it to appear in the right
pane.
- Click a field to add content.
The Edit Field tab displays.
- On the Edit Field tab, modify the field attributes:
- Enter a label, default value, and hover help text.
- Specify the field as required or optional.
- Add the field to the form submission title. If you do not select any
fields as the submission title, any completed forms are listed as
"Untitled" in the job queue.
- Map the input fields to the fixed and custom fields in your
system.
- Make any character, text, and number fields read-only. The default
value is shown to the user and submitted with the form, but the form
requester cannot change the value.
You can also delete and duplicate fields. When you duplicate a field, any
field mappings are not copied.
- Click Save Form.
