Setting the Postmaster email address
Marketing Operations OnDemand sends automatically generated email, such as alerts and notifications, to users from the Postmaster address.
About this task
IBM® reserves the email address no.reply@bhtu.com that you can use as the Postmaster address. You can use that address or any other email address. The system validates the Postmaster email address when you first enter it. By using an address such as no.reply@bhtu.com, you are telling users that they cannot reply to that address.
However, if you use no.reply@bhtu.com, bounced emails are irretrievably lost. Any notification or forwarded message that is sent by a user to a bad email address bounces. Bounced messages occur if the recipient's email address is incorrect or if the recipient's email server is down. To view bounced messages for your account, provide IBM with a From Address to which bounced messages are sent. If the email address that you supply includes your network domain (for example, abc.com), your IT staff will need to "except out" the address from the anti-spam configuration.
To set the Postmaster address, complete the following steps.
