Using the graph

Various controls are available to manipulate the graph view.

You can reposition partitions and classes, zoom in and out, hover to see more details, and show or hide class nodes. You can also click a class, partition, or empty space to open the details panel for the class, partition, and view.

Controls are also available to search for a specific class by name, highlight partitions, and save changes to the graph view.

Graph view controls

The following image identifies button or link controls in the graph view with numbered callouts. Table 1 describes the button or link controls. Table 2 describes graph view mouse functions that you can use to adjust the graph view.

Control descriptions

Name Description
Drag You can click and drag partitions or classes in the graph view to reposition them in your view. Your adjusted layout is saved when you switch between graph views.
Zoom You can use the mouse wheel or zoom control button to zoom in to see specific classes and zoom out to see a bigger picture of your application.
Hover You can hover on a partition node, class node, or edge to highlight connections between classes or partitions and to get more details about that node or edge.
Click You can click on a partition or class node to highlight connected classes or partitions and to see more details about that partition or class in the side details panel. Click an empty space in the graph to show the details panel for the view.
Double-click You can double-click a partition to show or hide the class nodes within. That is, expand or collapse a partition.
