IPL Machine Loader Messages

This publication is for operators, administrators, or end users that will IPL an IBM Z or IBM LinuxONE operating system using the IPL feature. It is also required by those performing a dump of the contents of a logical partition (LPAR) onto a SCSI disk. This function can only be initiated from the Support Element (SE) or the Hardware Management Console (HMC) where, in this case, the user is an operator or system administrator.
