Installing the Mobility Client on Windows

Install the Mobility Client on a Windows system.

About this task

The installation procedure assumes that you are downloading the code from the IBM® Support website at http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27009682

Procedure

  1. Download the Mobility Client for Windows from the IBM Support website. The file name is Windows_Client_<version>.exe.
  2. Run the file that you downloaded.
    Note: To capture an installation log, click Start > Run, then enter: Windows_Client_<version>.exe /v"/log C:\MyPath\Log.txt" where, <version> is the appropriate version, and C:\MyPath\Log.txt is the path and file name of the log file you want to create.
  3. Click Run.
  4. Follow the setup wizard through the installation process. When a message about a digital signature is displayed, click YES to continue the installation.

    When prompted to install the Virtual Device Driver, respond YES/Allow.

  5. When the setup wizard is complete, click Finish.
  6. Restart your computer only if you receive a message that directs you to do so.
