The item Field widget is a simple and flexible widget that allows you to immediately display IBM® Maximo Inventory Optimization fields or data points for a stock item.

You can also edit fields. They are not automatically generated or read-only fields. Each field widget is independent, movable, and resizable.

Note: Some data fields cannot be displayed by using this widget, for example, notes, attachments, or gallery images.

Setting up an item field

To set up an item Field:

  1. Click Settings icon icon and switch to Edit form view, select Item field and place the widget in a suitable location.
  2. Optionally, enter a Field name.
  3. Include item Fields either in the top section of the item form view, within a collapsible container, or a combination thereof.
Important: Item Fields that are created within a collapsible container cannot be moved outside of that container.
