Equipment Installed Base widget
The Equipment installed base widget displays the equipment installed base count. This is the number of pieces of equipment on which the item is used/installed. This value is necessary for calculating the MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure). Clicking the widget presents the Equipment installed base window.

There are three options available for determining the installed base value. Users may select the most appropriate option to apply for each item.
- INSTALL_BASE_AUTO
- The Auto option will set the installed base value to be calculated by IBM® Maximo Inventory Optimization.
- INSTALL_BASE_MAN
- The Manual option allows the user to edit/enter the installed base value.
- INSTALL_BASE_STATED
- The Stated option will set the installed base value based upon values taken from the host ERP.
