Smart advisor

Smart advisor exists to reduce the workload of inventory controllers. An inventory controller can use Smart advisor to accelerate the review process by including the accept and review confidence scores into their decision-making processes.

Overview

Smart advisor uses data on previously exported items to predict whether an item is likely to be exported. To use Smart advisor, the model must first be configured to run. When configured, Smart advisor fields are calculated after each end of month (EOM) refresh. The results of the Smart advisor can be viewed on both the grid and form. You can add the Smart advisor fields to the grid. You can also add fields when in form view. It is suggested that when the user adds fields, the container feature be used to keep related fields together. Smart advisor fields are not editable.

Smart advisor fields

Four Smart advisor output fields are available to the user.

  • Risk score
    • The percentage of risk that is associated with the acceptance of the action the model suggests. A high score is indicative of higher risk.
  • Confidence score
    • The percentage of confidence the model has in its prediction. A high score is indicative of a more reliable suggestion.
  • Explanation
    • Provides the user with further details pertaining to why the suggested decision was made.
Note: The term neighbors in the explanation refers to similar items from previous records that resulted in the same decision.
  • Accept or Reject flag
    • The accept flag is present only if it is suggested that the item be exported.
    • The reject flag is present only if it is suggested that the item be reviewed.
