Initiating change requests

The item change requests are initiated in the Items module by users who have read-only access.

The requester can make requests to change one item record at a time. It is not possible to request changes to multiple items in a single change request.

Follow the steps to initiate a change request:

  1. Click Items on the main page. The items grid opens.
  2. Locate and select the item record that you want changed to enable the Request change option
  3. Click Request change to open the Items change request window.
  4. The following changes can be made:
    • In the Descriptions field, specify the reason or purpose of the change request.
    • You can also change the values in the read-only fields. If a read-only field is changed, the IC determines how to achieve the requested results.
    • You can also add attachments to the request.
  5. Click Save to submit the item change request form.
  6. View the status of your request in the Change Request module by selecting My requests in the Showing field.
