Varying unit prices report
This report allows the user to determine outliers where the Unit Price of an item has changed significantly from the last month to the current month. You can also view the pricing history and whether an item has steadily increased in price, and if the Supplier of that item is a preferred Supplier. The data used for the report is from Inventory History.
Data Required
This report requires at least two months history of inventory data.
Accessing the Varying unit prices report
- Click the Analytics module.
- Scroll down the list of reports until you find the Varying unit prices report.
- Click Varying unit prices to open and view the report.
Viewing the report- how to interpret each chart
Average Change in Unit Price
Each Plant (District Code), is represented as a circle. For each item, the percentage change between the current and previous month is calculated. The average of these percentage changes for the plant is represented on the x-axis. Selecting a plant will cause the Unit Price Change by Item chart to be populated with items from the selected plant.
Unit Price Change by Item
Each item for the plant selected in this chart is represented by a decrease, increase, or no change symbol, according to whether the unit price of the item was increased, decreased or did not change between the current and previous month. The unit price of the item is plotted against the y-axis while the percentage change in unit price between the current and previous month is plotted against the x-axis. Selecting an item will cause the Unit Price Over Time chart to become populated with the selected item.
Unit Price over Time
When a stock code or point is selected from the chart Unit Price Increase or Decrease, this chart will show the Unit Price change over time, including the Supplier Code and whether they are a preferred supplier.
