What's new - March 2023

The March 2023 update to IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization includes the following enhancements:

Workflow recipient manager

Workflow recipient manager simplifies the task of adding and removing recipients for the user. The option is only available to users with the necessary Workflow recipient manager permissions. Workflow recipient assignment can be done in three levels. On the Manage recipients page, the user with workflow recipient permission can define a search criteria. The search criteria can include any combination of users, roles, and rules. The user can then choose to add, replace, or remove recipients, either as a bulk action or an individual action. When a user runs a search in workflow recipient manager, the results are grouped in three categories.

Prevent items from dropping out of workflow

Configuring workflow allows clients to manage the way IBM® MIO Inventory Optimization handles items in workflow when data changes because of a refresh or changes in workflow rules. The option is only available to users with workflow configuration permission and can be accessed under Administration. Enabling workflow configuration gives users the choice of if they want items to drop out of workflow when rules are not met after a refresh. If the option is on, then items drop out and workflow approval is canceled. If the option is not set, then the item is updated and continues through the workflow approval process.

Export engine migration

When users make downloads by using the API, a download date is displayed in the Manage exports window. Downloaded export batches are shown as Downloaded.

Enhancements

A filter icon is added to the toolbar, allowing user tables to be filtered according to username, full name, and emails. Another enhancement is that smart review models are automatically run after an EOM data refresh. To work, this needs to be set up by the user.

Further changes

Bulk edit from file performance support issues are fixed.
