Work queues

In IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization, you can group and prioritize work by using work queues. You can also monitor and review progress work by organizational areas and data sets.

For more information about work queues in IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization, see Use and configure work queues.

Items

An item in IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization is an inventory stock item.

For more information about items in IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization, see the Working with stock inventory items topic.

Draft items

Draft items are uncatalogued items. They're new items that are being added to the catalog. They use the draft items module to get loaded into the system and add projected demand.

For more information about draft items in IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization, see What are draft items?.

Workflows

The workflow feature enables an approval process after changes are made to stock items. This process ensures that the correct business approval is obtained before any changes are exported.

For more information about work Workflows in IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization, see Workflow and approvals.

Analytics

The analytics in IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization solution automatically analyzes each stock item that uses characteristics such as price, usage, movement, lead time, and criticality.

Widgets

Widgets are used to display specific details about an item, and provide access to more functions.

For more information about Widgets in IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization, see Customizing the form view with widgets.

Regions

A 'Region' is a grouping of locations that want to share stock.

Even though a Location can exist within a Region, it doesn't mean that sharing is taking place. For sharing to take place an item must be allocated to a Region.
