Default Form Views

Changing the Default Form View is a feature for Administrators or super users of IBM® Maximo Inventory Optimization that can be useful when any new or essential information is required to be displayed on a single screen for all users. Users can then view the Default Form View together with their Personal view under the Items Module, and switch between both views as needed.

Important: This feature must be enabled by your Administrator or IBM Consultant.

Editing the Default Form view

To access the Default Items Form View, go to the Items module, and click the actions menu . Select Edit Default Items Form view, and then select any of the widgets you want to create, move, or delete for all users. When you're finished, select the settings menu to save your changes. If you choose to cancel the Save process, you are taken back to the Items grid.

Accessing the Default Items Form View for all users

Any user can access the Default Items Form View under the Items module. When you select an item, the item displays the Personal view by default, if you don't have a personal view, the Default view is displayed. To change views, you can switch between the Default view and the Personal view by using the drop-down box.

Customizing your Personal View

Every user has a personalized view under the Items Form view that can be edited according to personal preference. After you finish editing the Items Form view, you can save your changes under the Personal View. If you want to cancel the changes and exit the Edit Form View screen, click the settings menu, and select Cancel Edit Form View.

Saving the Default Items Form View as a Personal View

You can also save the current default Items Form view as your Personal view to keep up-to-date with any changes made to the current default view. To update your Personal view with the current default view, go to the Items module, and select an item. Select the Default View from the drop-down box. Click the settings menu, and select Edit Form View. When the form is in editing mode, click the settings menu again and select Save Form View. You are asked if you want to overwrite your personal form view with the default view.
