Importing data

You can import the item data in the IMPORTS module.

1. In the Essentials application, click IMPORTS.
2. Click Import button.
3. Click Drag a file here or click to browse link to upload the file.
4. Review parsed data preview and correct highlighted errors.
5. If there is no error, click Next.
6. In the Import window, review Current system details.
   This section shows the existing data in the system before the import is applied:

   Optimization end period

   Displays the current end date for optimization calculations.

   Existing item count

   Shows the number of items already present in the system.

7. In the Import details section, review import summary.
   Confirm the following details:

   Import type

   Ensure it shows Importing item details and item usage.

   New item count

   Number of new items added.

   Matching item count

   Items already present in the system.

   Uploaded usage month range

   The time period covered by the usage data.

   New optimization end period

   Updated based on the imported data.

8. In the Import checklist section, select the checkbox to acknowledge the import summary and checklist.
9. Click Import.
