Managing items
You can access IBM® Maximo Inventory Optimization Essentials as a Essentials user to manage items.
Following menus are available in the ITEMS module of Maximo Inventory
Optimization Essentials:

| Distinct values | The Distinct values window displays all unique values for the selected field or column, along with their respective item counts. It also provides additional relevant details for each distinct value. For more information, see Tagging inventory items. |
| Bulk edit | Use the Bulk edit utility in the user interface to update multiple fields across multiple inventory items efficiently. For more information, see Bulk editing of inventory items. |
| Bulk edit from file | Perform bulk edits on multiple fields with different values for a filtered batch of inventory items using an XLSX or CSV file. This process, known as Bulk edit from file, is available in the user interface and documentation. For more information, see Bulk editing of inventory items. |
| Bulk attachments | You can add attachments in bulk to items using Bulk attachments feature. For more information, see Adding bulk attachments. |
| Projected demand import | Projected demand is a feature that provides a robust tool for predicting item usage when future conditions differ from past trends. For more information, see Projected demand and Forecast Modes. |
| Locations | Locations of inventory items are provided in the form of codes, which can be difficult for you, as a user to remember. The location alias tool allows you to group inventory item locations under a single title that makes most sense to you. As a user, you are able to use location aliases to name locations based on division, district, store, condition, and planning area. For more information, see Location aliases for inventory items. |
| Edit default item form view | You can edit the default item form view in IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization. For more information, see Default Form Views. |
