Administration

The Administration module is used to administer and configure the MIO through following functions:

Access management
Manage user access through permissions, roles, and dataset assignments using the Access Management modules in the Administration application.
Data refresh notification
The data refresh notification option allows an editable list of email addresses to be notified when issues or milestones occur in a periodic update.
Expression builder
The Expression Builder is used in the Data enrichment tasks and Work queue settings in the Administration module. You can use it to create SQL expression to access database.
Currency rate management
The Currency rate feature in the Administration > Lookups > Currency rate tool allows administrators to define and manage currency conversion rates used across the system.
Translation and text
In the Administration module, you can use the Translations and Text under Lookups to edit the text and language translations for Text Dictionary labels and IQ Labels in the user interface.
Work queue configuration
A work queue is a group of items that are filtered with conditions. It is created and configured in the Administration module. After a work queue is created and refreshed, you can view the work queue and the filtered items in the Inventory module.
Codes list management
Codes list management is the process of creating, editing, and managing lists of codes that are used in IBM® Maximo Inventory Optimization.
API key management
The API key management in IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization allows you to securely create, filter, and delete API keys with expiry dates. This new functionality eliminates the need for IBM support intervention, empowering users to manage API access for their business partners and applications directly.
Field finder
The Field finder feature in IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization helps administrator and users quickly locate fields, expressions, or conditions across various modules. This feature is particularly useful when managing configurations, troubleshooting issues, or customizing the system.
Cost model
A cost model is a feature that helps organizations define and apply cost logic to assets, inventory, and operations. It supports dynamic cost calculations such as stockout penalties, holding costs, purchasing costs, and expediting fees based on item attributes and changing business conditions.
Dashboard
You can use the Dashboard to monitor system health, view environment versions, and run or review key operational activities for IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization.
