Creating specifications for regulations
You can use specifications to define regulations that are categorized according to predefined types. You can also use specifications to add standards-based information that is important for compliance with plant and industry standards.
Before you begin
A classification must be assigned to the regulation record for which you want to develop a specification.
About this task
You create specifications for a regulation record by specifying values for the attributes that belong to the regulation classification. You can also add attributes that do not belong to the classification, but are relevant to the regulation record. The additional attributes and attribute values that you specify in the regulation record do not affect the original classification.
Procedure
- In the regulations application, open the regulation record that you want to modify and go to the Specifications tab.
- Select the classification that is assigned to the regulation record.
- In the Specifications table, specify values for the attributes that belong to the regulation classification.
- Optional: Add new attributes and specify values.
- Save the record.
