Training Courses application
You use the Training Courses application to create, modify, and track training courses for your organization.
Each course can consist of one or more modules that you can create in the Training Modules application. On the Sessions tab, you can track the number of times a course was run, and view specific details for each session, for example, the trainer and participants. You can also specify one or more prerequisite courses for each course.
You can associate training courses with the following applications:
- Access Permits application
- You can associate training courses with access permits and ensure that each person completes the essential training courses before an access permit is granted.
- Crafts application
- In the Crafts application, for each skill level, you can associate one or more training courses.
- You associate training courses with crafts to ensure that each person completes the essential training to safely do their relevant craft.
- MOC application
- In the MOC application, use the Training tab to manage the training courses that arise from a change process.
- You can specify whether courses are essential, and you can track who completes the courses.
- People application
- In the People application, use the Training tab to manage training courses for the people in your organization.
- You can indicate whether training courses are essential, whether the person completed the course, and when the person completed the course, you can specify the grade that is achieved.
- You can use Add Training Courses from Associated Certificates to quickly add courses to the person record based on certificates that the person already holds.
- Permit and Certificate Types application
- You can associate training courses with permit and certificate types to ensure that each person completes the essential training courses before a specific permit and certificate type is granted.
When you modify a training course in the Training Courses application, the changes are automatically updated in any of the applications that reference that course.
