Deletion of person records

To manage the personal and official information for the individuals in your organization, you can delete person records. You can also change the status of a person record to Inactive rather than delete the record.

You cannot delete a person record if the person meets any of the following criteria:

  • The person ID is on a user record or labor record.
  • The person is a supervisor on another person record or on a job plan record.
  • The person is a custodian or a user of an asset or location.
  • The person is the owner of a ticket record.
  • The person is the owner or the approver of a solution or a lesson.
  • The person is a reviewer, approver, or authorizer of a management of change (MOC) record.
  • The person is a technical authority on a regulatory compliance record or a drilling and completion record.
  • The person is listed on a communication template or a ticket template.
