Getting started for users

You can get started quickly with IBM® Maximo® Health by exploring the user interface, reviewing your assets and locations, validating data quality, and monitoring asset health and performance.

Before you begin

If you encounter errors or missing data after logging in, contact your application administrator to verify these requirements.
  • Data is loaded into Maximo Health from your source systems
  • You have access to at least one site
  • A default insert site is specified in your user record
  • You are a member of at least one security group for Maximo Health

Getting started steps

Complete the following steps to get started with Maximo Health:

  1. Log in and explore the user interface
  2. View your assets and locations
    Note: If prompted to add default scores, click Add default scores to enable health, criticality, and risk calculations. You can also add default scores later if needed.
  3. Fix missing data
  4. Monitor health and performance
  5. Take action on assets or locations

After completing these initial steps, you can explore more advanced features:

  • Activate default scores for health, criticality, and risk calculations. For more information, see Default scores.
  • Create scores using pre-configured out-of-the-box scoring models or configure custom scoring groups and health scores from Score settings. For more information, see Creating scoring groups.
  • Set up predictive modeling with Maximo Predict from Prediction settings if Maximo Predict is installed.
