Component Codes (Tr) application

Component codes and component code systems help you track and analyze assets performance and maintenance cost. You use the Component Codes (Tr) application to enter and track component codes, and to create component code hierarchies.

When you create a component code, you can specify its place in a component code hierarchy. You can specify a parent component code and child component codes. You also can specify that a component code must have an associated position code. For example, some brake assembly components are specific to either the front or the rear of a vehicle.
