Vehicle scheduling overview
To schedule and dispatch vehicles, you match a vehicle request with a vehicle from the pool resource list. If necessary, assign a driver. You can then schedule the dispatch.
Pool resource list filters
A pool resource is an asset that is available for vehicle scheduling. You designate an asset as a pool resource in the Assets (Tr) application. When you prepare to assign vehicles to vehicle requests in the Vehicle Scheduling (Tr) application, you can use three filters on the pool resource list.
Labor conflicts
You can view potential work conflicts and potential dispatch conflicts for a selected driver and dispatch request. The conflict lists help you select an available driver for the dispatch request.
Vehicle conflicts
To view potential scheduling and usage conflicts for a selected vehicle and vehicle request, use the View Vehicle Conflicts window in the Vehicle Scheduling (Tr) application.
Assignment statuses
A vehicle request can have four possible assignment statuses: WAITASGN, ASSIGNED, STARTED, or COMPLETE.
Motor pool billing
Motor pool billing is a feature that calculates charges for asset dispatches. You use the Organizations (Tr) application to specify whether your site uses motor pool billing. If your organization uses motor pool billing, a rate schedule must be applied to dispatches.
Qualifications and qualification requirements
A qualification requirement is a skill level, license, or certificate that is needed for a work order task or an assignment. Qualification requirements are associated with tasks and assignments. Qualifications are associated with labor codes.
