Positioning components

When you position a component during lineup execution, you add information about the positioning action to the lineup. The information that you add is used to track the positioning action on the lineup.

Before you begin

  • The component or components you that want to position must belong to a lineup group that has a status of Active.
  • The lineup must have a status of Active.

About this task

You add positioning details by selecting the Position Components action and entering data in the Position Components window. The positioning details that you enter in this window are automatically added to the relevant component entries in the current lineup group and on the configuration list. In addition, component entries on the configuration list are automatically updated with the relevant action details.

Procedure

  1. In the Lineups (Nuc) application, select a lineup.
  2. On the Execution tab, select the lineup group that contains the components you want to position.
  3. From the More Actions menu, choose Position Components.
  4. Add positioning details for specific components by using the following method:
    1. In the Components table, select the check box of a component that requires positioning details.
      The component entry is automatically updated with your user name and the current date and time.
    2. Optional: Expand the component entry to change the default date and time of the action, and to add a comment.
  5. Click Apply Default Data to add default positioning details to all components that are listed but do not yet have positioning details.
  6. Click OK.
