Status changes in workflow processes for clearances
You can create your own workflow processes. When you want the status of a clearance or a clearance revision to automatically change when a workflow process runs, include an interaction node in the workflow process.
You use interaction nodes to specify the actions that occur in a workflow process.
- For the Application name, specify PLUSCL.
- For the Action property, for each status change, specify the existing clearance action for the corresponding status.
| Action | Status change in clearance record | Description |
|---|---|---|
| WAPPR | WAPPR | A Tagging Official reviews and approves the tag application information that is provided on the clearance. |
| APPR | APPR | A Shift Supervisor reviews and approves tag application information. |
| READY | READY | This status indicates that the clearance boundary is ready for approval or use by maintenance |
| RELEASE | RELEASE | The clearance is released for implementation in the field. |
| RESTORE | RESTORE | A Shift Supervisor reviews and approves the tag restoration information. The clearance is released for restoration in the field. |
| CANCEL | CANCEL | The clearance is canceled when it meets specific criteria. For example, the clearance is not in a parent-child relationship. |
| CLOSE | CLOSE | Operations can close a completed working or admin clearance. The closed clearance, and any previous clearance revisions, are stored as history records that cannot be modified. |
| WAPPR (for clearance revisions) | WAPPR | The clearance revision status changes to Waiting for Approval. |
| APPR (for clearance revisions) | APPR | The clearance revision status changes to Approved. |
After you validate and activate the workflow process, go to the Clearances (Nuc) application, and click Route Workflow.
If an error message displays, click Route Workflow again, to stop the workflow process. Review your workflow process to try to determine why the error is occurring. Perhaps the workflow design needs to be adjusted. After you modify the workflow process, return to the Clearances (Nuc) application, and initiate the workflow process to change the status of the clearance.
