Asset functions
The asset function specifies the calibration data for the function of an asset. You can specify calibration data about one or more asset functions.
Calibration data includes the input and output values of an asset, the tolerance limits of an asset, and the uncertainty measurement data of an asset. The combination of these values is calculated to determine whether the calibration of an instrument passes or fails performance tests.
You can configure a data sheet for the following types of devices:
- Analog device
- An analog device is an instrument that provides continuous results, such as a pressure gauge.
- Discrete device
- A discrete device is an instrument that has only two settings. For example, a discrete device can be a switch that is either on or off or a valve that is either open or closed.
