Revising calibration job plans

You create calibration job plans so that you can apply revision control to a job plan. When you revise calibration job plans, a record of the changes that are made is saved.

About this task

You can revise job plans that are in active status only. When you revise a job plan, the current job plan is duplicated with the same name. The revision number increments by 1. Work orders with an existing job plan attached are not updated with the revised version.

You can enable revision control in the Organizations application.

Procedure

  1. On the Job Plans application, select the job plan that you want to revise.
  2. From the Select Action menu, select Revise Job Plan.
  3. Enter a description for the revised job plan in the Revision Description field and click OK.
The revised job plan has a status of pending revision. The original job plan remains in active status.
  4. Update the revised job plan.
  5. After all changes are completed, change the revised job plan to active status.
The original job plan automatically changes to revised status and it can no longer be changed.
  6. Save the revised job plan.

What to do next

You can view all changes that have been made to the job plan, including who was responsible and when the changes were made.
