Creating a tool record

A tool record defines a tool and allows you to associate information with the tool. Tools are used to perform work, such as building, maintenance, and repairs.

1. In the Tools application, click New Tool.
2. Specify a tool and lot type.
3. If the tool is part of measurement and test equipment, select the Is M&TE check box.
4. Specify whether the calibration of the M&TE is completed internally or externally:

   Option	Description
   If the tool is calibrated in internally	Select the Internal Calibration check box.
   If the tool is calibrated externally	Specify the calibration vendor.

5. Save the record.
