Creating defects in Maximo Mobile

In the Defects function or the Inspections function, you can create defects in IBM® Maximo Mobile.

As an administrator, you grant group-specific privileges by using the Security groups application. These privileges include read, insert, save, delete defects and change status privileges in the Defects tile in IBM Maximo Mobile and the Defect function in the desktop version. You can also grant access to the Maximo classification hierarchy.

Creating defects in the Service Requests application

In the Service Requests application, you can create defects, specify the value for the asset or the location, and check the related records for more details.

Setting the default image for a defect

In the Asset (Civil) application and the Location (Civil) applications, you can set one image as the default image when you create a defect.

United States bridge data

As an administrator or asset manager, you use the Maximo Civil Infrastructure to load sample data, and then modify the data. The sample United States bridge data is located in the /maxloader/data/files/Templates/Bridge directory.
